The story behind Badehotellet
Exciting story
Architect M.C. Thoft (later mayor of Grenaa) designed Grenaa's prestige project, Badehotellet, which was built in 1914. In the following decades, Badehotellet was a sanctuary for wealthy guests who spent days or weeks away from everyday stress in beautiful surroundings.
Over the years, businessmen, actors, musicians and many other guests have enjoyed the free atmosphere of Badehotellet and had fun at Denmark's best beach. Badehotellet was also completely renovated in 2023-24, with an emphasis on preserving the hotel's long history.
Today, the seaside hotel has all the comforts and nostalgic elements that bring back memories of the best of the last 110 years.
